Valley Behavioral Health Systems provides comprehensive care for children between the ages of 3 and 12 who are in need of intensive treatment for mental, emotional, and/or behavioral concerns. Offering both acute inpatient care as well as residential treatment, Valley Behavioral is able to address a vast array of concerns, while helping children overcome the challenges they are facing.
Our children’s inpatient treatment program offers acute care for children who are in need of immediate stabilization or crisis intervention. In this setting, children are provided with a full continuum of care that is tailored to meet their specific needs. Through the implementation of a variety of therapeutic techniques, our inpatient program works with children as they develop the coping skills needed to achieve their highest level of functioning.
Our children’s residential treatment program offers long-term services to children who are in need of a safe and caring environment where they can work towards healing from the struggles they are facing. Children in our residential program are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so that not only is their safety ensured, but they are also afforded access to mental health professionals at all hours of the day and night should they find themselves in need of support for an immediate concern.
While in our residential program, every child attends school daily as part of his or her treatment process. All of the academic credits that are acquired during their time with use will automatically transfer to their local school district.
The therapeutic aspects of our residential program include:
- Individual therapy
- Group therapy
- Family therapy
